Candy Apple sends Hugs and Kisses to Pops' Dairy Bar in Ramsay!!
What an awesome day!!! Today I want to send an ENORMOUS THANK YOU to the people
at Pops Dairy Bar in Ramsay. What a truly fabulous place. Some might drool over the super strawberry shakes. Others might
rave about their vintage pop and the gorgeous chrome detailing. Me, I’m just blown away by the generosity of the folks
there. Candy Apple Apparel took over Pops’ entire store front and outside garden eating area today for our photo shoot
(more on that soon) – and the people at Pops couldn’t have been nicer! We love the details – the 50s coke cooler,
the funky checkerboard flooring and everything in old school vinyl! The salmon sandwiches and the pocket dogs for
lunch were yummy too.
So if you live in Ramsay - heck, if you live anywhere in Calgary
– or hundreds of miles from here – get yourself to Pops Dairy Bar.
A
special thank you to Roger, for loaning us the space, Emily for managing such a rockin' establishment, Wally for unlocking
the joint and Mona....ah Mona, you treated us like rock stars. A big old apron curtsy to you!!

I'M IN!!
So, it's official! Candy Apple Apparel Inc. is going to be gracing the aisles of the Festival of Crafts this November
26-29 in Calgary Alberta! I got the call today to let me know (okay so I had pestered them with a few phone calls and they
were returning my call).... But needless to say I'm very excited and now all this preparation is not in vain. Whew!
I
guess I had better get back to work :) There's a lot to do between now and then. But I look forward to having an outlet for
customers to come down and get their Christmas aprons and also to meet the people buying my aprons!
Overcome with it
all, but happy as a clam,
Pam.

Re posted fabric with sizes...
A very wise women (thanks Paula) advised me to put the fabric back up on the website. So the fabric that I'm cutting
for the craft shows is still going to be online. Even though it will be cut and surged I will post the sizes that I have so
I can keep an inventory of the "premades" and still keep fabric on the "custom" page as well.
After
all, I can't sell what you can't see.
So, on the Light cotton fabric page you will find a link to the premade
fabric options with a inventory of sizes made in that fabric. To order it, you'll have to briefly describe the fabric and
the size you require.
Thanks for all your patience as I try to figure this all out :)

Fabric options
So I've had to take a bunch of the previously posted fabric and cut it all into premade aprons. Why? you ask...because I'm
preparing for the craft sales I will be involved in this fall/winter season. I am, for once, not procrastinating! So be sure
to still inquire if there was a fabric you had in mind, as I just may have an apron in your size in that very fabric.
Also,
I'm in contact with some fabric wholesalers so if you have a favorite line or designer. Let me know! So far I'm thinking about
the "Olivia" line and the "Rhumba" line by Rosemarie Lavin?? We'll see how it goes.

Festival of Crafts
So here I go biting off more than I can chew, again. Well I'm plunging in and going to try to make my way to the "Festival
of Crafts" at the round up centre this November. I'll get 100 pre-made aprons together of all sized and prints and hope
they last the 4 day long festival :)
There is also trade show type of sinage to think about and payment options ( I think
I'll just stick with cash) and what size of booth.....the list goes on.
I have found the application for the "Festival"
is rather intensive, but I'll muscle through it. It feels more like a job application than anything else....it's a little
intimidating but I'm sure they'll like the aprons.
So here's hoping....
Pam.
